I'm just now reading your article, about 9 hours before I wake up to the 6AM West Indies encounter. I so hope our Protea boys play up to their potential against the windies, who will be an entirely different proposition after their debacle against England. Good luck to the team. Thanks for your article. I think South Africa has reached the l lowest point in this campaign against Australia. Selection of the team is key. My XI for the windies is deKock, Bavuma, Markram, vanderDussen, Miller, Hendricks, Fortuin, Maharaj, Rabada, Nortje, Shamsi.
What are your thoughts on the current Prorea batting order?
I think Markram & Miller should b 3 & 4 with Rassie 5. Ridiculous 4 Miller - a la Kluesner - 2 come in with just a few overs left - only one on Wednesday. Hendricks is more suited 2 the longer game but has proved himself better than Klassen in 20/20's so could b at 6, though an all rounder would b useful.
Pity Maharaj & Fortyne haven't been given more opportunities 2 show their batting potential.
